Airpark, Aug. 30 €“ Sep. 2, will enjoy contingency support from 19 different companies and manufacturers rewarding top performers. Five automobile manufacturers have put together programs that reward top finishers in the National Championship event. All offer cash prizes for competitors who run their cars, beginning with Volkswagen of America, who pays $1,000 for each National Champion in a VW, and $500 and $250, respectively, for the other podium finishers. Toyota/TRD matches Volkswagen€™s payout for a National Championship, while Mazda North American Operations ($800/$400/$200) and Honda Performance Development ($500/$300/$100) each pay out prizes for finishing in the top three. Joining the four with a program posted officially for the first time this year is MINI USA, offering $1,000 for a win, $500 for a runner-up, and $250 for finishing third. Six tire manufacturers are participating in the Nationals program. Once again, Bridgestone, Toyo Tires and Yokohama Tire Corporation are each supporting the Street Touring® category with cash prizes for the top three finishers in class. All three offer $1,000 for a National Championship, with a $750 prize to runners-up and $500 for third place. Hoosier Racing Tires, Kumho Tires and Goodyear Tire each offer product prizes for the classes they support. Hoosier and Kumho offer four tires to those who win on their products, two for a second-place finish, and one free tire to third place, with Kumho doubling those prizes for the Street Touring category. Goodyear is offering two free tires to winners in each eligible class in Lincoln. Competitors can also earn cash and merchandise based on the mechanical workings of their cars at the Solo National Championship. Shell Racing Fuels is presenting up to six places in class as much as $100 for purchasing their product to power to a top finish. AST Suspension offers a $750 product credit to qualifying cars who win, with $250 for a runner-up and $100 credit for fifth-place finishers. Moton Suspension-USA is offering $500 to the class winner who wins by the greatest overall margin, while Solo Performance Specialties is paying $75 in product certificate for a winner that uses SPS/Solotime number graphics on their car, with $50 and $25 in credit for finishing on the podium. Race-Keeper and Race Technology USA each support competitors with their video and data acquisition packages. Race-Keeper offers cash and product certificates for podium finishers ($250 for the winner, $150 product credit for a podium) who participate in the program with their video/data logger systems. Race Technology USA offers significant discounts on the select systems and accessories for top three finishers in all classes not currently using their system, and product certificates redeemable toward parts and upgrades for podium finishers already campaigning with a Race Technology system. Grassroots Motorsports Magazine continues to offer a $100 prize to current subscribers who win and compete with the magazine€™s decals on the car.
