As part of our new partnership with the American Le Mans Series, one SCCA member will be honored in each American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr脙鲁n television broadcast as the 聙聹SCCA Star Performer.聙聺 Following Robert Thorne聙聶s announcement as the first honoree during the Lime Rock broadcasts two weeks ago, the second recipient will be revealed during Sunday聙聶s broadcasts of the Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport on ESPN3.com (2:45 p.m. EDT) and ESPN2 (10 p.m. EDT). The SCCA Star Performer is selected by a panel of judges, based on recent efforts in SCCA聙聶s national Club Racing, Solo and Rally programs. The recipient will be someone who shined above the rest, epitomizing the passion, effort and success within their performance. Coverage of this weekend聙聶s Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport from Mosport International Raceway begins Saturday, July 23, with live qualifying on ESPN3.com at 3:30 p.m. (EDT). Live coverage of the race is also available on ESPN3.com Sunday, July 24 beginning at 2:45 p.m. (EDT). The television broadcast on ESPN2 will be aired later that day, beginning at 10 p.m. SCCA members are also encouraged to enter a sweepstakes for a trip for two to Round 8 of the American Le Mans Series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The trip includes luxury oceanfront hotel accommodations and VIP hospitality provided by Tequila Patr脙鲁n.
