(Nov. 18, 2009) 聙聯 WC Vision and SCCA Pro Racing have added two doubleheader events to the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge schedule.The SPEED World Challenge Championships will once again headline Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ont. The May 21 聙聯 23 weekend will be a doubleheader event for both classes.聙聹World Challenge has become a fixture on Mosport聙聶s schedule,聙聺 Mosport International Raceway President and General Manager Myles Brandt said. 聙聹In fact, we聙聶ve hosted 19 World Challenge events, more than any other track. The series always puts on a great show and our fans will be pleased to hear that Mosport is set to host a doubleheader weekend in 2010.聙聺After a solo trip by World Challenge Touring Car to VIR in 2008, both classes will return to scenic VIRginia International Raceway, in Alton, Va., to headline the Sept. 10 聙聯 12 weekend with a doubleheader. It聙聶s the first time World Challenge GT has raced at the 3.27-mile course since 2002.聙聹It聙聶s great to have both classes of World Challenge back at VIR,聙聺 VIRginia International Raceway General Manager Josh Lief said. 聙聹The Touring Car race here in 2008 was phenomenal. It was the perfect example of what happens when you combine a series as competitive as World Challenge with a world-class facility like VIR.
