The 2025 Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour (HST) season is flying by faster than a Formula Atlantic® down a long straightaway. Already on the horizon is the series’ final West Coast stop, that being the May 10-11 event hosted by SCCA’s Oregon Region at beautiful Portland International Raceway (PIR).

This specific HST race weekend includes a run group for Formula F (FF), Formula Vee® (FV) and Formula 600 (F6) cars, offering an excellent chance to showcase the competitive nature of those classes during HST’s online video race broadcast. That trio always has hotly contested races around PIR’s 12-turn, 1.977-mile circuit.

The Bravo Trailer that serves as the hub for HST activity will be on site and ready for this two-day event. The PIR party will be the seventh of 10 on HST’s schedule this year, with results counting towards the series’ .

The Dream of Racing is Alive in Portland

Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time is when on-track activity commences. Things fire off with 20-minute qualifying for each of the six run groups. That’s followed by 25-minute races to decide the first set of winners.

When Sunday dawns, there will be an additional 15-minute qualifying round for all six run groups. After that, the race is on through 35-minute or 25-lap contests to see who claims trophies and commemorative bottles of Mazza Vineyards sparkling wine.

The FV field is where you’ll find a great group of drivers who never disappoint. Quinn Posner, in the No. 9 Posner Law Office Protoform P3, has swept victory over the last two years, but there are several other competitors in the mix likely to make things fun and challenging.

Then there’s F Production, where you’ll find Brian Linn driving the No. 3 Goodyear/Carbotech/Race for RP/Rebello/LINNspeed/SH Consultants Nissan Sentra SE-R. He took two West Coast HST victories earlier in the year during an event held on the brand-new The Circuit at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Chasing him at PIR, however, are fellow victory podium partners Tim Linerud, in a Volkswagen GTI, and Michael Lewis in his mighty Mazda RX-7 machine.

Spec Racer® Ford Gen3 is always a can’t-miss contest at PIR as well. Caleb Shrader, in the No. 99 Consonus Healthcare car, locked down two first-place trophies in California at Buttonwillow. At PIR, however, it’s Calvin Harris in the No. 42 Pro Drive Racing/Flat Out Racing/HMS sled who swept the weekend last year. While those are two drivers to watch, there are several skilled racers in that field who are equally capable of claiming victory.
