This weekend’s Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour (HST) affair taking place June 27-29, 2025, at Watkins Glen International in Western New York is the series’ 10th and final ‘regular season’ event. It’s also the last chance for drivers to improve on positions within the prior to the 2025 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco.

Twenty-two classes from the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program will have HST Nationwide Points Champions this year. Claiming that title is also a step towards earning the coveted SCCA Road Racing Super Sweep award, which is considered the most difficult accomplishment a driver can achieve. To earn a Super Sweep competitors must win an HST Nationwide Points Championship, an HST race, a U.S. Majors Tour Conference Championship, and a Runoffs victory all in a single class.

The Nationwide Points tabulation consists of a driver’s best six finishes from 20 HST races conducted over 10 weekends from January to June. A competitor’s performance at the Runoffs is then added as a seventh score to the tally. Winners earn 25 points per race, and 21 points go to runners-up. Points are then doled out to others starting with 18 and descending to a single point for the 20th finisher. That means 150 points is the most a driver can amass prior to the Runoffs, and a perfect score for the season would be 175 points.

Keep in mind that no driver currently has a lock on the Championship as 75 points are theoretically still up for grabs; a total of 50 points this weekend at The Glen, and 25 points during the Runoffs this fall at Road America in Wisconsin.

Coverage started with Friday qualifying, and commentary is again provided by Gregg Ginsberg and Brian Bielanski throughout the whole weekend.

Better yet, come on out to The Glen and soak up the action in person. The public is encouraged to be trackside for HST’s visit, and tickets are $50 per person.
