The most pinnacle of RallyCross® events is by far the SCCA® RallyCross National Championship. With dirt ready for the kicking on Hollytree Off Road’s 1.3 million square foot site, this year’s Oct. 17-19, 2025, winner-take-all National Championship event is set to raise the bar on what was an incredible 2024 debut in Hollytree, AL. All that’s missing is you – and with registration poised to open, it won’t be long before you can rectify that situation.
This year’s gold-medal event (hosted by Tennessee Valley Region, which is part of the Huntsville RallyX group) boasts an entry cap of 120 drivers, with each class capped at 30 entrants – this means that while it’s anticipated everyone who wants to enter will be able to, you should still have your finger on the “register” button when your Tier is called. After all, last year’s event was a blast, so you won’t want to miss this year’s fun.
What’s up with these Tiers and what’s your registration date? We can help…
Am I Tier 1, 2, or 3?
In general, SCCA’s National Championship events open registration in waves, offering certain members an earlier registration date than others. This method encourages a few things – with RallyCross, the three Tiers encourage volunteering, participation, and driving excellence.
Tier 1 – July 23, 2025
Tier 1 registration opens at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, July 23. This Tier is for former RallyCross National Champions, 2024 RallyCross Nationals Event Chiefs, and 2025 Divisional Challenge event winners.
Tier 2 – July 30, 2025
The second Tier opens at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, July 30, and is open to 2020-’24 RallyCross National Championship competitors as well as SCCA Women on Track scholarship winners.
Tier 3 – Aug. 13, 2025
The final Tier also opens at 6 p.m. CT and on a Wednesday, but the date is Aug. 13. This one is otherwise known as “general registration,” because it’s for everyone who doesn’t fit into Tiers 1 and 2.
Other Need to Knows…
How much does it cost to register?
Registration is $250. For that, you get three days of competition spreading multiple runs across four planned courses.
Can I cancel my entry?
Certainly! But there are caveats. If you register prior to Oct. 8 and cancel before Oct. 15, you’ll receive a refund of $200. Those who register after Oct. 8 or cancel after Oct. 15 will not receive a refund.
When does online registration close?
That would be Monday, Oct. 13. And because we love 6 p.m. CT, that’s the deadline on this one, too.
When will the event’s supplementary regulations be posted?
They already are! You’ll find those on SCCA’s RallyCross National Championship page, or you can go straight there . In there, you’ll find tons of useful information, like details on the run groups and run order, how penalties will work, what class inspection will entail, safety rules, and more.
What car number can I be?
Single drivers can choose any number from 1-99, or 200-999. Two-driver cars must use a two-digit number and the corresponding 100 number. For example, 44 and 144.
Are there any contingency programs for RallyCross Nats?
