Making due after a fire at the Runoffs
1998 arrived at the runoffs with a inlet and engine cowling that proved to be illegally too high and actually caught fire burning up. With no other choice I raced it like this. Speed Vision loved it! David Hobbs and Darcy Schaider got a real charge out of it. My TV coverage must have really torqued off the other guys who finnished ahead of me. Sorry boys!! I did not plan it that way. It was a slug with a parachute on the straights but I pushed hard and had fun.
