1997 Ralt RT-4 Cosworth
Only raced the Ralt with a Cosworth one year. I was very uncomfortable without a full roll cage. The Cosworth blew up twice in the first year. I soon figured out I would not be able to afford this long. SCCA was promoting using the Mazda Rotary in Formula Atlantic as a way to reduce cost so I drank the Kool Aid and converted in 1998. I then could just afford racing that class and engineered and drove my way to the front of the fields before rule changes pushed me to the back of grid.
