• Dedicated: Over 7 years of experience working on Pro MX-5 Cup racing teams, rebuilding cars after crashes (sometimes twice in a weekend), swapping engines in 1 hr, transmissions in 15 minutes (hot) and supporting 13 cars some race weekends. 70 plus hr days not uncommon…
• Seasoned: Over 30 years total race car mechanic experience (since 1990), plus additional years on personal vehicles
• Alertness: Advised team re imminent failure to driveshaft (explosion) due to poor exhaust fabrication facing pipe inward toward driveshaft to escape noise violations: Result, driver injured in explosion and fire. Team principal admitted he was wrong to not listen to me.

• Rallycross:
• 10+ years of SCCA Rallycross participation across the United States.
• 2013: Detroit Region SCCA 3rd place championship - SA
• Served SCCA membership as Rocky Mountain Division Steward reporting to SCCA National Office and Rallycross Board
• Multiple SCCA Rallycross National Championship appearances (including 2024 running as high as 3rd Nationally in class when, due to car motor mount failure, DNF, exited course safely and without incident)
• Endurance Racing/ Crew/ Coaching/ Team Engineer:
• 25 Hours of Thunderhill: Overall Team Win with MX-5 ahead of prototype race cars, Fall Line BMWs, Many Porsches, and the like
• 25 Hours of Thunderhill: Multiple Class Wins (7 years experience as crew and car engineer on radio with drivers working on strategies to win).
• Wrote rallycross articles for SCCA SportsCar Magazine for years - topics such as how to knowledge for beginners, and other info on getting involved in the sport, safety, and finding speed
• Rally: Dirtfish Rally School 2 and 3 day driving courses completed/ certified: 2024

• Road Rally: 2023 SCCA National Rally Championship - 6th place in class 

• Ice: Multiple ice events with Windy City through the decades (some led by Randy Everson ) and more - first attendance in 1977: Windy City ‘Ice Dice’ - rode along in Volvo Wagon to a class win. Georgetown lake in Colorado - multiple years, and others.

• Track and street proven abilities in car control, especially in traction limited environments (rain, dirt, mud, ice, snow, coolant on dry track, etc) Example: Easily (and safely) lapped entire field in the rain - to their surprise and mine - in a Veloster N at Road America: 2022 Badger BMW Oktoberfast 
• Worked with WCBMW Instructor, Alex Christianson to improve my line and front wheel driven car handling abilities on Mid Ohio racetrack - 2013 Veloster Turbo
• Many driving schools, track days, and a lifetime of motorsport experience on dozens of US tracks - ride-alongs since early 1970’s on major US tracks, transitioning to driving in the 20s, after my years of service as a mechanic
